Our Story

Built in 1923, Saint Nicholas Church has been lovingly restored and re-designed as luxurious seaside accommodation.

Located in the heart of the historic fishing village of Beachport in South Australia’s limestone coast region, the original church has been sympathetically reinvented to provide a stunning place to stay for up-to 10 adults.

The renovation has drawn inspiration from the French countryside with heritage and modern themes seamlessly blended.

The original church now opens onto an expansive deck with views over a large garden, neighbouring bowls and golf course.

The bell tower has been converted into the perfect venue for sunset drinks or just a morning coffee with 360-degree views over Rivoli Bay, Lake George and surrounding town. Its an experience not to be missed!

Sustainability lies at the very heart of this unique experience with over 50,000 litres of rainwater storage, 12kW of solar panels and two Tesla batteries providing virtually zero carbon accommodation. The entire building has been electrified with heat pump water heating, efficient air-conditioning, and all-electric kitchen appliances. St Nicholas has an old soul, but a very modern heart.
